Jacinta is a marine biologist, master reef guide, photographer and videographer based in Queensland, Australia. Jacinta grew up with a strong passion for wildlife and the ocean which she followed into adulthood. After graduating a bachelors degree in marine biology she took up a job on lady Elliot island where she has been working for the last three and a half years. 

Education is key to Jacinta who believes that everyone needs to see and learn about the Great Barrier Reef, one way or another! When she isn’t educating or guiding in person, Jacinta shares her work online in an attempt to inspire an even wider audience. She is currently attending the university of the Sunshine Coast, writing an honours thesis on Epaulette sharks examining their genetics and spot patterns.
